Time flies

I was slightly struggling to bring this piece together, until I placed an old lady as the central figure.
So it became about how memories are precious fragments of time that we tether to ourselves and pass on to others. And how aging is a gradual loosening of our mind, our body and our earthly ties, and that can be beautiful.
And then... then I saw the film “Call me by your name” (which had me in pieces) and I had a dear old friend staying with me, and children growing up fast and Ralph incommunicado in the middle of the Kalahari and it became about how your heart can live in different places and times and so can be broken and whole at the same time.
