Shadow Box

The Exploratorium, Pier 15, San Francisco

The Shadow Box is made of large phosphor screens which store light from a strobe flash, temporarily freezing the visitor's shadow. So when you jump - you stay jumped! I hand painted the shadows onto the back of the box. A shadow box of a shadow box... how could I resist.
