This Glass Cathedrals was originally inspired by the Mary Oliver poem "Sleeping in the Forest" that describes the "small kingdoms breathing" at night, "the insects, and the birds who do their work in the darkness." I thought of the moon eye-view of us humans, each also working away, insect-like in scale and stamina, in small kingdoms of our own creation.
