The traveling bookbox show / 2016
An unusual touring exhibition of book-themed shadowboxes. Many are now being housed at The Santa Cruz Museum of Art and History in California.
“I cannot remember the books I've read any more than the meals I have eaten; even so, they have made me.”
- Ralph Waldo Emerson
by Raymond Briggs
Commissioned for a lucky little French boy (who'd just been given red pyjamas for Christmas!), making this box was an insight into the brilliance of children's story-telling. The forest ahead is dark and unknown, the hand firmly held - and the snowman party of a lifetime awaiting.
